Welcome to our site!

  • Our wedding will be held on Saturday, August 25th, 2012 at the little white chapel, 106 Church Street in Cove, Oregon at 2pm with a cake reception following!

Niether one of us dreamed our big day would be a HUGE bash. We both visioned our wedding being a small intimate gathering with our close friends and family witnessing the two of us make a covenant to each other and God to love and stay together for all our days "and into eternity" (as Sam always says;) ). We both wanted to focus more on the marriage then the wedding, keeping it simple and sweet! With our families we pondered and struggled over the guest list trying to make decisions on who to invite and who we didn't have room for, but between both our church families, our school friends and our communities, that proved harder then we thought! So we made changes in order to be able to invite more friends! So you who are reading this mean a great deal to us! We would love to see you there to witness the best love story since Shrek.... or Beauty and the Beast..... or maybe Cinderella...... anyways it's gonna be great! (at least in our opinion)!

We both love vintage and antiques! If you were to ask us what time period we would rather live in it would be between 1870's, 1920's, 30's, 50's, 60's or 80's, but we know we are here for such a time as this so we are happy and thankful for 2012!
We have registered at Alma Jane's, a little antique shop in La Grande! We are also simple and practical folk, registering for a bed spread we found we just plain want a useful blanket! We're not into all the fancy pillows, so we registered at Wal Mart!
Above everything, more then gifts and money, we would like to see your face there! Please do not let that hold you back!

Just some fun info:

We like to have meanings behind the things we do and what we use.
A couple years ago I decided that for my wedding I wanted there to be meaning behind the colors in the wedding. So I got the idea to do my birthstone color and whoever I married's birthstone color. So our colors are Peridot-Light Green (August) and Sapphire-Brite Blue (September)!

We are excited, come July 15th Sam will be moved into our new home! It's a small little one bedroom house near Greenwood school in La Grande. I will be moving in with him after we are married!
We will be starting off this adventure with next to nothing! We have all the furniture we can live with in the small little house, but when it comes to office supplies, kitchen and cleaning supplies, tools and bathroom stuff, we don't have much but we'll be happy!

For those who are confused about how to say Sam's last name... it's easy once you get it.
It's Italian, so when you say it.. think in your mind... pizza, small alleyways, fountains, accordion music, statues of naked people, cheese, wine, leather shoes and romance. Also think about how Italians "roll" their "R's" with their tongues. You can get pretty into it...(Fior-rrrrrreeeeeetoe), but remember as much as it is Italian, Sam is American and we've lost the "roll". .. (Fear-rito)
Now we split his name Fiorito, into two parts Fio and Rito.... say it with me... Fio-Rito the more you say it separately and the faster you say it, the more you say the name correctly!
If you can't get it, we understand! You can join Sam's friends and call us Fritoes like the chips or you can join my brother Crayson and call us FireRitoes.

Our plan after we are married:

Sam will go back to EOU in the fall to finish out his degree which he has 2 years left to go. He studies to become a young adults educator and we are praying to find a teaching position in Union County! I will be working as much as I can, and once Sam gets his degree, finds a job and we get settled, I will start to fully look into taking classes at EOU. Mean time we would like to help out in ministry if we can manage our time, I would like start back in with kid's ministry and youth group!
We are very excited about our life together and seeing where God takes us!

Thank you for wanting to be apart of this joyful event and reading this blog!
We are so excited to have you there to bare witness to our "I Do's"and share in our celebration!
Thank you!

With Love,
Deven McBride
& Samuel Fiorito
